Five products
Six ways to fund a practice. We'll tell you which one you need.
Working capital $25,000 to $2,000,000, a line of credit to $500,000, term loans and SBA 7(a) to $5,000,000, and claims factoring to $5,000,000. Two underwritten in-house by MedStream Capital, three arranged through bank, SBA, and specialist partners.

The split
Two we underwrite. Three through partners.
MedStream Capital underwrites two products in-house and arranges three through bank, SBA, and specialist partners. In-house underwriting is the first look on every file. The difference matters: an in-house working capital advance funds in 24 hours, and an SBA 7(a) through our partner bank takes 60 to 120 days. Both are the right answer sometimes.
In-house underwriting is the first look on every file. If a MedStream product fits, we fund it ourselves. If the right answer is a 10-year SBA note or a claims facility, we say so and route it to the bank or specialist partner that books that paper. We will tell you which one you are getting before you sign anything.

Decision guide
Start here.
Need it this week?
Working capital or a line of credit. Nothing else on this page funds in 24 hours.
Buying a practice, or buying into one?
SBA 7(a). Start 120 days before closing. If the seller wants a 45-day close, bridge the equity injection with MedStream Capital working capital and let the SBA note take you out.
Buying a machine?
Under about $250,000, MedStream Capital working capital covers it off your bank statements, funded in 24 hours. Above that, a partner term loan or SBA 7(a) usually costs less. Full cost tables are in our equipment and buildout cost guide.
Bill $50,000+ a month in insurance claims and wait 60 days?
Claims factoring, through our specialist partner. Or MedStream Capital working capital, which does the same job off your bank statements alone and involves nobody in your claims.
Clean personal credit and 90 days of patience?
A partner term loan will beat an advance on cost. We will tell you so rather than funding the advance.
Not sure?
Apply once. One soft pull and four bank statements get you read against all five. An underwriter calls you with which one fits.

Who actually gets funded. Practices with at least 6 months of operating history and $15,000 a month in deposits. In-house advances run $25,000 to $2,000,000. Practices under 24 months old are funded, but typically at $25,000 to $75,000.
Different criteria apply to SBA loans, term loans, and medical-claims factoring. Those are arranged through our bank and specialist partners and carry their own underwriting. SBA 7(a) through our partners generally requires a 680+ personal FICO, a 1.25× debt-service coverage ratio, three years of tax returns, and a 10% equity injection. Those thresholds are the partner bank's, not ours.
MedStream Capital is not a HIPAA covered entity and not a business associate. We underwrite on business financial records — bank statements, deposits, and the practice's own stated revenue. We do not request, receive, access, or store protected health information, and we do not connect to your EHR, practice management system, or clearinghouse.
