Arranged through partner banks
Practice term loans, $50,000 to $5,000,000.
Term loans for medical and dental practices from $50,000 to $5,000,000 over 1 to 5 years, arranged through MedStream Capital's bank partners. Requires 24+ months in business, a 600+ personal FICO, and two years of business tax returns. Monthly payments. Funded in 2 to 4 weeks.
Soft pull·No impact on personal credit·4-minute application·No patient data requested
Term loans are arranged through MedStream Capital's bank partners, not booked in-house.
We look at every file in-house first. When a practice has 24+ months of history, a 600+ personal score, and two years of clean returns, a partner term loan will almost always beat an advance on total cost — so we say so and we arrange it. You will know which bank is funding you before you sign.

What practices use term loans for
- A second location. $250,000 to $900,000, where the ramp is 9 to 18 months and a 3-to-5-year monthly payment matches the revenue curve.
- An associate or partner buy-in. $100,000 to $500,000, below the practical floor where SBA's 60-to-120-day process is worth the wait.
- Debt consolidation of stacked advances. Rolling two or three disclosed daily-debit positions into one monthly payment.
- Major renovation. A full operatory or lane refresh on an existing footprint, where the equipment line alone will not cover the construction.
- A small satellite acquisition. A $200,000 to $600,000 purchase that an SBA desk would rather not touch.
MedStream Capital's role on a term loan file
MedStream Capital reads the file, tells you plainly whether it clears a partner bank's underwriting, places it, and stays on the file through close. We are compensated by referral or placement compensation on partner-arranged products, and we disclose that on request for any file. We do not pretend to book this paper ourselves.

Term loans — the partner bank's criteria, not ours
| Minimum time in business | 24 months |
|---|---|
| Minimum personal FICO | 600 |
| Tax returns | Two years of business tax returns |
| Amounts | $50,000 to $5,000,000 |
| Terms | 1 to 5 years, monthly payments |
| Underwritten and funded by | A partner bank, not MedStream Capital |
Who actually gets funded. Practices with at least 6 months of operating history and $15,000 a month in deposits. In-house advances run $25,000 to $2,000,000. Practices under 24 months old are funded, but typically at $25,000 to $75,000.
Different criteria apply to SBA loans, term loans, and medical-claims factoring. Those are arranged through our bank and specialist partners and carry their own underwriting. SBA 7(a) through our partners generally requires a 680+ personal FICO, a 1.25× debt-service coverage ratio, three years of tax returns, and a 10% equity injection. Those thresholds are the partner bank's, not ours.
MedStream Capital is not a HIPAA covered entity and not a business associate. We underwrite on business financial records — bank statements, deposits, and the practice's own stated revenue. We do not request, receive, access, or store protected health information, and we do not connect to your EHR, practice management system, or clearinghouse.
FAQ
Term loans, answered.
Who actually funds a MedStream Capital term loan?
A partner bank, not MedStream Capital. Term loans are arranged through MedStream Capital's bank partners and are underwritten, approved, and funded by that bank under its own terms. We read the file in-house first, place it, and tell you which bank is funding you before you sign anything.
How is a term loan different from an SBA 7(a) loan?
A partner term loan runs $50,000 to $5,000,000 over 1 to 5 years, needs 24 months in business, a 600+ personal FICO, and two years of business tax returns, and funds in 2 to 4 weeks. SBA 7(a) runs up to 10 years (25 with real estate), needs a 680+ FICO, a 1.25× DSCR, three years of returns, and a 10% equity injection, and takes 60 to 120 days. Term loans are for expansion; SBA is for acquisition and real estate.
Can I refinance an existing advance into a term loan?
Often, yes — that is one of the better uses of this product. Consolidating two or three disclosed advances into a single monthly payment over 3 to 5 years usually cuts the weekly cash drain substantially. It requires the 24-month history, the 600+ score, and the tax returns the partner bank asks for.
What kills a term loan file?
Three things, in order: undisclosed positions found in the bank statements, fewer than 24 months in business, and a debt-service coverage ratio below 1.15. If any of those apply, MedStream Capital in-house working capital is usually the only thing that will fund, and we will say so rather than running you through a 4-week process that ends in a decline.
